Editorial Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This page explains how content on BrightlyFuture is researched, written, checked and kept up to date, so you can judge how far to trust it. It applies to every article, guide and tool page on the site.

Who Writes and Reviews the Content

Every article is written and reviewed by Zubair Ahmad, founder of BrightlyFuture and an SEO specialist with 6 years of hands-on experience. Each article shows its author and the date it was last updated. If other contributors write for the site in future, they will have their own author profile, and their work will go through the same review.

How Topics Are Chosen

Topics come from real search demand and from the questions I meet in my own SEO work. Before writing, I read the pages that currently rank on Google for the topic to find what they cover and what they leave out. An article is only worth writing if it can add something those pages don’t: a test, a clearer explanation or first-hand experience.

To avoid publishing several thin pages on the same question, each topic gets one main article. Related articles link to it rather than repeating it.

Research and Sources

  • Primary sources first. Claims about Google are checked against Google’s own documentation, such as Search Central and the Search Quality Rater Guidelines. Studies are cited from the original research, not from a blog summarising it.
  • Current data. Statistics and product details are checked for the current year before publishing. Where a figure is older, I say so.
  • Linked, not just mentioned. Every statistic, study or quote links to its source so you can check it yourself.
  • No invented examples. If a first-hand example isn’t available, the article doesn’t pretend to have one.

Testing and Experience

When an article says “I tested”, it means the test was done on a real website or real piece of work, not a demo. Results come from tools such as Google Search Console, and screenshots are shown where they help. Where I haven’t tested something myself, the article says so and relies on cited sources instead.

Tools are reviewed after using them on actual projects. Reviews cover weaknesses as well as strengths, and prices and free-plan limits are checked on the provider’s own site before publishing.

How AI Is Used

I use AI openly and within clear limits.

  • What AI does: helps with research, outlines and first drafts. My main writing assistant is Claude, set up with my own business instructions and writing guidelines. I use ChatGPT for images and quick everyday questions, not for writing articles.
  • What AI never does: publish anything unchecked, or supply facts, statistics, quotes or personal experience. Every claim is verified by me against a source, and all experience described is my own.
  • Editing: every draft is reviewed for accuracy, rewritten where it sounds generic and checked for repetition before it goes live.

This matches Google’s guidance, which focuses on whether content is helpful and accurate, not on how it was produced.

Images

Featured images and diagrams are created for each article. Screenshots are real and unedited, except where client names or private data are hidden. Images from other sources are credited.

Free Tools

The free tools on BrightlyFuture are built and tested before release. Where a tool has limits, its page says so. For example, the AI Content Detector publishes its own accuracy results, including how often it wrongly flags human writing. Tools that send text to an outside AI service say so on the page.

Updates and Corrections

SEO and AI tools change quickly, so articles are reviewed regularly and updated when something changes: a Google update, a new tool version or better data. The “last updated” date changes only when the content has meaningfully changed, not for small edits.

If you spot an error, please tell me through the contact page. I check every report. Confirmed factual errors are corrected promptly, and significant corrections are noted at the end of the article.

Independence, Ads and Affiliate Links

BrightlyFuture is free to read and is funded by ads, affiliate links and my own SEO services. Recommendations are never for sale.

  • Affiliate links are disclosed on the page where they appear.
  • A commission never changes a rating or recommendation, and I only recommend tools I’ve used.
  • Sponsored content, if ever published, will be clearly labelled as sponsored.
  • My own services are mentioned where relevant but never presented as independent advice.
